A laminated wood column (1), comprising five sheets of sweeping boards (4) stackingly adhered to each other in a thickness direction, wherein the side of each sweeping board (4) positioned on the ground surface side is formed in a first plate material portion (5) formed of a first tree type such as hinoki excellent in rot-proofness and termite-proofness, and the other portions are formed in a second plate material portion (6) formed of an inexpensive second tree type such as a white wood, and the plate material portions (5) and (6) are adhered to each other through a finger joint (7) in the material axis direction, whereby, because the laminated wood column (1) formed by stackingly adhering the sweeping boards (4) to each other is formed so that the portion thereof on the ground surface side is formed in a first laminated material portion (2) formed of the first tree type, rot-proof and termite-proof treatments are not required, and thus the laminated wood column for structural use low in cost and easily executable at site can be realized. |
