    The present invention discloses one kind of modified nano phenolic resin binder and its preparation process and application in refractory material. The modified nano phenolic resin is prepared through condensation of phenol and formaldehyde while adding laminated silicate clay via in-situ insertion. The modified nano phenolic resin binder results in high compression strength of refractory material.
