In a supervisory system for a passenger conveyer such as an escalator, operating information and control signals are transmitted between the conveyor and a remote supervisory station by wireless signals. Safety detecting elements and camera monitor operating conditions, and the control signals may be used to stop or restart the conveyer. A service car for a maintenance engineer may also be incorporated in the radio link. A receiver transmitter for transmitting operating information as a wireless signal and for receiving control orders as a wireless signal is arranged in the passenger conveyer side, and another receiver transmitter for receiving the operating information as a wireless signal and for transmitting the control orders as a wireless signal, and a display means for indicating the operating information received are provided in the supervisory station. |
