    This invention has solved the problem of making magnesia as isolating coat of silicium steel anneal, conventionally magnesia is made with carbonated ammonia liquor, due to its specific volume and burning waste, it can not be used in Si-steel anneal. This invention uses sodium hydroxide for purification treatment at 45-55 deg.C, the relative amount of NaOH used is 15-17% to 18-22% of light MgO in raw liquid. Then 0.23-0.27 pts (by vol. of the purified soln.) of carbonated ammonia liquor and 0.06-0.07 pts of 3.0-3.2N sodium hydroxide solution are added and react at 72-82 edg.C. This invention provides a new way of making magnesia for Si-steel manufacture.
