The present invention relates to the vertical magnetic recording medium. The intermediate layer therein is made from a material composed by silicon or germanium as its main components. Said intermediate layer is deposited on a substrat and the verticul magnetic film made from cobalt alloy is deposited on said intermediate layer. The orientation of c axes of the verticul magnetic film in the verticul magnetic recording medium is enhanced, while the adhesive strength between the vertical magnetic film and the substrat is also increased when the substrate is made of nonmetalic material. |
