In the method, two continuous reactors are used, which two may be two suspension ones or a suspension and a fluidized bed reactor. In the first reactor raw phosphate is suspended in the mixture of gases and fuel, it is flash burned for a short time to the temp. of 750-1050 deg.C. Then in the second reactor it is heated in reducing or neutral gaseous medium, and the gas flow rate is considerably lower. The retention period is at least three times longer than that in the first reactor. Cadmium is almost completely removed from the raw product by this process. |
