A magnetic tape cassette has a housing with opposed surfaces and at least one passage extending through the housing and defining a cavity opening at apertures in such surfaces, and an indicating member movable within each passage and including a central positioning member in said cavity and opposed extensions directed from said positioning member into the apertures. The extensions are selectively actuable, as by a pencil point or the like, through the respective aperture for displacing the positioning member past a detent in the cavity from one to another of two externally detectable positions which correspond to respective states of the cassette. |
