    Several ultrasonic transducers or probes are located around the detected body, such as a steel pipe. One of the transducers is excited. It emits ultrasonic wave into the detected area. The others receive reflection and transmission waves. Then the sonic pressures of reflection and transmission waves are measured, by the arithmetic division, that is, the pressure of reflection wave is divided by the pressure of transmission wave. So the evaluating value is obtained.
