For the lubrication of a drive shaft bearing in a centrifugal separator the drive shaft supports a right-circular cylindrical sleeve whose lower end is immersed in an annular basin filled with oil. Upon rotation of the drive shaft an oil mist will be generated above the basin to contact and lubricate the drive shaft bearing. |
