An amorphous metal alloy compound which has the following empirical formula and shows corrosion resistance in acid or alkaline environment: Fe-[a] Cr-[b] M-[c]M' -[d]; wherein, M is at least one metal selected from Mo and Ta, and M' is at least one metal selected from V, Ti, Zr, W and Nb; the scope of a is 0.2-0.8, and the scope of b is from 0.0 to 0.3 or so; the scope of c is from 0.2 to 0.8 or so and the scope of d is from 0.0 to 0.8 or so. |
