In the smelting process for recovering metals from non-ferrous metal oxide ore or concentrates and/or fine-grained non-ferrous metal sulfide ores or concentrates, specially, sulfide ores consisting of non-ferrous heavy metal or concentrates, the sulfide ores are firstly treated for oxiding the ores and then the ores or concentrates are fed to coal-sulfurizing bed in gasifier for smelting. The grain of the material is kept in constant size. Sulfurized ores are added into bunner for smelting. Flame of the bunner is directed against sulfur bed for sulfurizing coal. |
