The present invention discloses a non-ammonia method for extracting from Chinese dates an edible colouring agent (of brown sugar colour). The manuacturing process, which is easy to learn, opens up a new usage for those juicy dates of inferior quality. Hence, a rich supply of resources can be easily found. As no chemicals are added either to act as catalyst or to take part in the reaction during the process, the new type of natural edible colouring agent thus produced is reliable. |
