A refrigerated storage cabinet with a humidifying mechanism has a refrigerating unit with two parallel-connected evaporators one of which is disposed in a storage/display compartment for cooling the stored merchandise. The other evaporator is disposed in air circulating duct which communicates with the compartment through front and rear gaps to enable air circulation within the compartment. The suction side of the air duct is also connected to the exterior through a hole, opening and closing of which is controlled by a damper plate selectively to block the air circulation. The evaporator only cools ambient air to condense vapour which later humidifies the air which is circulated into the compartment. |
