The adaptor connected with a multi-jaw chuck has a slim body. The body has a central hole on its outer surface, and several grooves along at least one partial length of the body, which are coincident in numbers and angular positions with jaws in said chuck. In said hole there are a screwy clamping spring, and a device for preventing the relative movement between the body and at least one spring ring to operate as a clutch. The handle of a tool can fit into the spring fixedly when the tool is inserted into the spring. The torque acts on the body in its one rotating direction through the chuck to form a frictional drive between the body and the tool. When no torque is presented or the body rotates in opposite direction, no driving occurs at the body. |
