The invention relates to the camera tube used in a television camera. It consists of an electron gun, which includes a cathode used to emit electron beams, and the 1st and 2nd grid, each of which has an aperture to control the diameter of the electron beam. The aperture of the 2nd grid is quite smaller than that of the 1st one. A voltage, which is positive with respect to the cathode is applied to the 1st grid. The voltoge which is relatively positive with respect to the cathode and applied to the 2nd grid is higher than that applied to the 1st grid. The positive voltage applied to the 1st grid has such a valve that the electron beam passing through the aperture of the 1st grid can be formed into a laminated electron beam. |
