The fuel cell includes a fuel electrode, an oxidizer electrode and an electrolyte between them. In order to control the amount of carbinol in the duct through which the fuel is supplied to the fuel cell, a control device for the concentration of carbinol is mounted at the duct so as to make control by means of detecting the open-circuit voltage of single compound cell, such as the open-circuit electric potential of oxidizer cell. |
