The filtrate filtered off from fresh royal jelly through 80~100 meshes silk is edible royal jelly, the royal jelly acid or 10-hydroxy-decylene acid remained in the filter residue is extracted by washing, precipitating and recrystallizing, the acid may be used to adjust the nutrient constituents in the processing of royal jelly or used as a standard for appraising the freshment of royal jelly.
