To reduce greatly the sticking of dust on an incidence and an emitting surface for a beam by arranging a plastic lens so that its optical axis crosses the direction of gravitational acceleration almost at right angles. The cylindrical lens 21c made of plastic is used to correct the tilt angle of a polygon mirror 14. This cylindrical lens 21c has both-side no-lens parts 21a and 21b clamped by pins 22 and 23 implanted in a substrate 11 and pressure plates 24 and 25 and is held perpendicularly to the substrate 1. Then, a laser printer is so installed that the substrate is horizontal, so the optical axis of the cylindrical lens 21c crosses the direction of gravitational acceleration. Further, the lens surface of the cylindrical lens 21 on the beam incidence side is recessed in a groove shape as shown by broken lines, which is equivalent to the formation of a flaw, so the sticking of dust on the incidence surface is reduced greatly. Thus, the sticking of dust is reduced greatly although the plastic lens is used. |
