The goal of reducing energy comsuption can be reached in the production (melting) procedure of rock wool by taking the advantages of quick-melting and energy-saving properties of sodium feldspar and actinolite which are the main raw materials used. Furthermore, the molten magma of the raw materials is characterized by good fluidity and low total alkali content. In addition to easy to handle under molten state and having less production troubles, the process can also promote the physico-chemical properties of the product. By using the raw materials and the proportion design prescribed by the invention, it is easy to get superior rock wool of acidic index around 2.0 and total alkali content (by weight) lower than 3.0%. The energy saving in the production (metling) procedure reaches over 8%.
