This invention is one kind of aq. solution quenching medium containing lignin sodium sulfonate 22-26%, sodium chloride greater than 0.8%, potassium chloride greater than 0.8%, sodium hydroxide greater than 1.5%, and the rest being water and impurities. While suggested ranges are: lignin sodium sulfonate 23/25%, sodium chloride 1.0-2.0%, potassium chloride 1.0-2.0% sodium hydroxide 1.8-2.0%, the rest, water and other impurities. Said solution is suitable for high-speed steel quenching, which can be used to substitute No.20 lubricant and two stage quenching, thus, saving in both oil and electricity, being smokeless, poisonless, oderless and economically used. Said quenching medium can be used to substitute the oil component in the double solutions for quenching. |
