The present invention gives a new compound, quinazolone, and its salts, and their preparation and drugs containing aforementioned compound as active component. In the molecular formula of the above compound, R is hydrogen atom or low alkyl, R' is low alkyl, either substituted or unsubstituted phenyl or aralkyl, R2, R3, R4 and R5 are the same or different groups, such as hydrogen atom, halogen atom, low alkyl, low alkoxyl, low alkoxyl-carbonyl, low alkoxyl-carbonyl-low chain alkenyl group respectively, or two neighboured groups in R2, R3 R4 and R5 are combined into a methylene dioxide grouping, and the other two are hydrogen atoms. This compound and its salts can be applied to preventing and treating various diabetic complications. |
