The present invention provides with a compatible Chinese characters input scheme of shape-spelling, phoneticizing and others (induding terms). The said scheme is suitable for coding various forms of Chinese characters such as standardized form, complex form, simpified form variant form and special form. It uses the traditional composite character bases or fundamental characters. The mapping code of the character base is denoted as two symbols according to the pronunciation of the character base,therefore it is compatible with the standard input phoneticizing , shape-spelling and their simplified codes are compatible with each other. When phoneticizing mode is used, simplified code input may allow the input of some incorrect pronunciation. The said scheme is very simple, requires greatly-reduced rememberance, takes the character bases without following the order of strokes and reduces superfluous codes.
