    A dimensioning rule is specified, with the aid of which material pairs can be selected between a hollow shaft to be widened from the inside in the plastic region and drive elements, e.g. cams for internal-combustion engines, to be affixed thereon by springing back from the elastic deformation. As well as the internal and external diameter of the shaft, the governing role is played by the flow limits and moduli of elasticity of the two materials.
