An hermetically sealed enclosure for electrical distribution equipment, e.g. a gas insulated circuit breaker, is constructed to allow the precise alignment of its principal interior components from outside the enclosure. The supporting insulators (41) carrying the fixed contacts (35) of the breaker are mounted on a movable carrier plate (52) which can be orientatedby hollow setscrews (57) accessible from a separate tubular compartment (46) equipped with a removable cover (50). Suitable clearance between the main holding bolts (54) and the set-screw (57) bore permits adequate angular of carrier plate (52) secured by lock-nuts (59). USE/ADVANTAGE - All electrical distribution components housed in sealed enclosures. Is of simple, robust construction requiring only half the fasteners/adjusters of conventional alternatives. Can be aligned from outside enclosure without risk of contaminants. Construction provides safe, though at low potential for particles released during switching. |
