The present invention is an improved DC arc furnace with a graphite electrode and a dual U-shaped bottom electrode. The inner U-shaped bottom is a conductor and the outer U-shaped bottom is a common refractory one. The upper connection constitutes a conducting circuit. Around the bottom electrode is the electromagnetic coil. The present invention has high productivity effect, low material consumption, high metallurgical quality low noise and other merits, thus being an ideal energy-saving arc furnace. |
