This invention elaborates the property, composition, shape and dimension of lithium triborate crystal fibers produced by laser heating pedestal process and the characteristics of non-linear optics parts of apparatus made of it. It shows that crystal fiber and lump single crystal possess the same composition and physical and chemical properties. The diameter of fibers produced is in the range of 0.005-0.5 mm, while their length is 1-100 mm. It also shows the general structure and example of using frequency multiplier, frequency differentiator, optical parameter oscillator and wave guide made by LBO crystal fibers. |
