Cathode ray tube test apparatus comprises first means (60) for supplying a voltage to a first grid (2); means (SWb) for automatically connecting said first grid (2) and a cathode (1); second means (70) for supplying voltage to second and third grids (3, 4); means (R1) for detecting the current flowing through said cathode; an analogue/digital converter (20); and a processing unit (40) for comparing digital signals from the converter (20) reference data, and for transmitting the result (50). In use, and with first means (60) connected (a), the second means (70) is adjusted to bring the cathode current to a predetermined value. The first grid (2) is then connected (b) to the cathode (1) and the current is remeasured (20-50). |
