This invention relates to a method for quick treatment of chromium-contained waste water. Its process is as follows: iron hydroxide precipitated liquid (pH=8.9-1.0) is leated in a filter-tank, and drawing the chromium-contained waste water (pH=5.5-8.0) into it under stirring, through evacuated filtration, free from chromium ion water is obtained. The process adopts a combined technique of pptn. redn. and absorption to improve that method which uses ferrous sulfate for only increasing acidity to reduce the chromium ion with a valency of six into three valence, it can treat the waste water which contains six valence chromium ion from tens to thousands milligram per litre. |
