This invention relates to a production method of sodium silicate in inorganic chemical industry, i.e. production of sodium silicate through electric smelting kiln. Its feature is that its raw materials change over to electric smelting after high temo melt state obtained. Its main technological process is: the siliceous sand (SiO2) and sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) are mixed firstly according to a certain proportions, then put into the electric smelting kilm and raises its temp. by the method of burning the kiln with fire. After the surface of raw material is melted, it changes over to electric smelting production. Its temp. is controlled at 1250-1350 deg.C. and melting depth is controlled between 0.4-0.6 m. As compared with the present flame production technology, this invention has good quality of production, no pollution of the environment and the service period and thermal efficiency of kiln furance is two times than the flame kiln. |
