This invention is related to the manufacture method and equipments of protecting sleeve of spiral steel tape. It uses the preserving frame (composed of cylindrical short stick, axle sleeve and slender long orienting rod) and heat pattern stove with uniform temp. field to carry on the processing of the elastic steel tape according to a definite regulation and through the heat treatment. The beginning end of the steel tape is fixed with a cylindrical short stick which is taken as the center for winding around itself. The worm roll steel tape winded in plane hape is placed into an inner cavity of axle sleeve. The last end of the steel tape is extended for a certain section outside the sleeve through a slot on the periphery of the sleeve. The exposed section is firmly clamped with a clip to prevent it from shrinking back into the cavity again.
