In the prepn. of the catalyst, Na-ZSM-5 is ion-exchanged by hydrochloric acid, modified by salt of Al and Mg, then dried and roasted. In the alkylation for the prodn. of p-diethyl benzene, the raw material ethyl-benzene and ethyl alcohol are directly synthesised by using the above mentioned catalyst ZSM-5 zeolite molecular sieve contg. Mg and Al. The conversion of ethyl benzene is 5-10%. The selectivity for p-diethyl benzene reaches 95-98%. The catalyst has a longer service life per pass of more than 1200 hrs. and is well regenerable. |
