The present invention reveals a kind of orthopedic biological material, belonging to the field of bone transplantation, fixation and the moulded material for face-lifting. It uses the horns of such animals as ox and goat, especially water buffalos as implantation material of heterologous bone transplantation, orthopedic or moulding. In 1960, it became a clinical success, and through follow-up visit and reexamination of cases as well as biochemical and biomechanical measurement and test on ox horn, it showed recently a good chemical stability and biological compatibility on the receptor, with a definite stress intensity against pulling, pressing, shearing and turning. The sufficient resources, available materials and easy prodn. convenient storage, lower cost and liable popularizaiton make it possible to be used in many ways, thereof it is an ideal biological inert material. |
