    A process is disclosed for preparing peroxidic perfluoropolyethers containing perfluoroalkylenoxy units (CF2-CF2O) and (CF2O), which is characterized in that tetrafluoroethylene and oxygen are reacted in a solvent at a temperature not exceeding 50 DEG C and in the presence of one or more compounds having one or more F-X bonds, in which X is selected from the group consisting of F, O and Cl.
