    An ultrasonic method and ultrasonic apparatus for measurement of sand content are published in this invention. This ultrasonic pulse apparatus for sand measurement in low sand content water flow is comprised of emission circuit, narrow pulse amplifying circuit, detection amplifier, screen display circuit, sample circuit, reshaping circuit, counting circuit, synchronous circuit and ultrasonic sensor head. The ultrasonic pulse is emitted by ultrasonic detector head into low sand content water flow, the reflected wave is generated by the sand and is received by same detector head, in given time interval counting reflected pulse, as compared to predetermining sand content curve, so the sand content is obtained.
