This invention is related to a new absorbent, its production and some special-purpose equipments. This new absorbent consists of a sulphate of alkaline metal organic acids and a sulphate of three-valence metal. The absorption rate of the said material is very high for tar and nicotine, and it is almost 100% for the latter, so this material can be used as the filter of cigarette.
