    The invention relates to a device for sorting and forwarding data in a data transmission system in which the data are transmitted from a transmitter to a receiver through different transmission channels. The inventive device comprises a storage device (1) for temporarily storing data that is received, a transmission device (2) for reading out data from the storage device and sending the data and a processing device (3) for determining the delay with which the received data are received in relation to each other and for storing the data in a storage device. The invention also relates to a method for sorting and forwarding data in a data transmission system that is used in this device.
