A frame adjusting metal fitting (11A) comprising an outer sleeve (12A) with a female thread (17A) and a projection (19A), an adjusting male thread (31A), and an inner sleeve (22A). With both threads engaged, the inner and outer sleeves are fitted together, with the male thread end rotatably engaging a projection (27A) on the inner sleeve. Rotation of the male thread causes the inner sleeve to move on the inner surface of the outer sleeve for adjustment. Side plates (14A, 24A) of both sleeves are formed by curved surfaces (15A, 25A) and planes (16A, 26A) to prevent rotation of the inner sleeve, thus eliminating the necessity for applying rotation-preventive processing to a part to which the bottom plate (23A) is to be attached. The bottom plate is formed with an elongated opening (28A) to adjust the direction crossing the direction of advance of the male thread. The projection functions as a slip-off preventive means when the frame adjusting metal fitting is inserted in an attaching hole (8) in a three-side frame. |
