Control device for on-vehicle engine is disclosed in the invention. The injection coils 4a to 4d are driven by a microprocessor 10 via a first opening/closing element 14, and the operation thereof is monitored by a first detection circuit 14a. The primary ignition coils 5a to 5d are driven by the microprocessor 10 via a second opening/closing element 15, and the operation thereof is monitored by a second detection circuit 15a. In the microprocessor 10, when there is abnormality in the injection or ignition system, an evacuating operation is performed by a drive stopping means (S115, S125) for stopping both fuel injection and ignition in abnormal cylinders, and also a secondary storage of abnormality coming up with the above drive stop to be stored in an individual abnormality storing means (S114, S124) in injection system/ignition system/cylinder is inhibited by a storage-inhibiting means (S113, S123). The systematic abnormality detection associates abnormalities in injection and ignition systems with each other in an on-vehicle multicylindered engine, having the injection and ignition coils every cylinder. |
