The invention can enhance the safety of a humidifier where electrodes such as a sterilization electrode and a water level detection electrode, are arranged in a water tank for storing humidification water. The humidifier comprises a case body 1A having an air suction opening 11 and an air delivery opening 9 and provided, at the bottom part thereof, with a water tank 16 for storing water supplied from a water supply tank 13 up to a specified level, a panel 6 fixed removably to the case body, a humidification filter 17 disposed in the water tank, and a fan 22 for vaporizing water permeated the humidification filter by supplying air thereto wherein the humidification filter 17 can be fixed removably to the open surface Z of the case body by removing the panel 6 from the case body 1A. Electrodes 31 and 32 for sterilizing water in the water tank 16 are disposed at appropriate parts of the water tank 16 and a ventilating protective member 35 is provided between the sterilization electrode and the open surface Z of the case body 1A. |
