    A hollow-microbead-insulated riser sleeve is prepared from floating beads as main raw material, supplemented with industrial water glass, bentonite, and paper chips or pulp through proportionally mixing, stirring, moulding, drying in air and baking. Its advantages are low cost, small size, light weight, reduced heat loss, little loss of molten metal and high quality of castings.
