    The connector works for a male-form outlet end component 16 of a compressed gas vessel 1 for supplying a compressed gas to the fastening apparatus using compressed gas as its fuel and a male-form inlet end component 4 of a mechanism 2 to lead the compressed gas into the fastening apparatus and is furnished with a sealing means 3 to accommodate the two end components 16 and 4 and seal the coupling part between them along their cylindrical sealing surfaces 34 and 35. The sealing means 3 is arranged to offer sealing surfaces 36 and 37 extending approximately perpendicularly to the axis 8 of the cylindrical sealing surfaces 34 and 35.
