    The invention relates to a thin film keeping frame, the apparatus is with a simple structure and maintenance, with a low cost, and it can be cut with one hand. This sheet roll holder is provided with a fixed part, a pair of support arms projecting to the fixed part, a sheet roll holder rod passing through a core part of the sheet roll and supported between the pair of support arms, and a plate used both as a braking plate and a sheet cutting plate supported between the pair of support arms and disposed turnably about a support shaft. The rear side part of the plate used both as the braking plate and the sheet cutting plate has its part of the lower surface constantly contacting with the outer circumferential surface of the sheet roll. Teeth are attached to the front edge of the front side part. When the rear end edge of the sheet part drawn from the sheet roll is pushed against the teeth, the front side part of the plate used both as the braking plate and the sheet cutting plate is raised relative to the support shaft and the lower surface of the rear side is so turned as to be pushed against the outer circumferential surface of the sheet roll and brakes the rotation of the sheet roll.
