    The invention relates to a method and a device for avoiding a parasitic state, in particular in telecommunications systems operating in burst mode. Said parasitic state occurs in particular when the signal has a signal level below a level threshold and/or an amplitude that is constant over time. According to the invention, an artificial interference signal comprising at least one interference signal frequency is added along the processing route of the system, in such a way that the signal level exceeds the level threshold, or that at least a constant amplitude over time is avoided.
