A process for preparing natural gas hydrate includes such steps as preparing aqueous solution of chemical promoter, cooling to 1-10 deg.c, introducing natural gas to it in mole ratio of 1:(30-80) under the action of ultrasonic waves (8000-12000 Hz) and 3-8 MPa of pressure, and separating out excessive water. Its equipment is composed of a horizontal cylindrical reactor, auxiliary system, piston to divide the reactor into chambers A and B, and the transducer of ultrasonic generator is fixed on said piston.
