A flow control device of Ethernet consists of a standard Ethernet exchanging chip, a logic converting circuit, a standard Ethernet PHY chip and an external control circuit. A flow control method of Ethernet includes the following steps: judging whether there is data to be sent out or not according to the state of indicating signal TX-EN at the time of data sending, fetching the User's selection, creating block proportion according to the User's selection and blocking transmission data of the indicating signal TX_EN as per the said block proportion. The method can provide Ethernet transmission speed rate at different levels according to different requirements of network broadband from the user so that the data flow in Ethernet can be effectively controlled. |
