    Disclosed is a method for inputting Chinese phonetic using reduced key array used in a Chinese phonetic input system, wherein a plurality of phonic Roman alphabet codes and a generation control code are divided by cluster as a unit and are arranged to each input key of the key array, and the phonic Roman alphabet code containing a transition scan code transitted from a base control code by a base scan code and a generated control code. The method includes the steps: receiving a base scan code of the phonic Roman alphabet codes distributed to the cluster, and pressing the input base scan code to a scan code stack; if a generated control code is inputed when the base scan code is pressed on a scan code stack, the pressed base code is replaced by a predetermined transition scan code in answer to the input generated control code; and if the the phonic Roman alphabet codes distributed to the other cluster is inputed when when the base scan code is pressed on a scan code stack, each phonic Roman alphabet code is produced by springing out a scan code of the scan code stack.
