A sound output system and method of a mobile communication terminal, which can output high-fidelity sound even with small-diameter speakers. The sound output system comprises a sound signal reproduction system for reproducing a sound signal to be output by the mobile communication terminal; a plurality of amplifiers, each of which is connected with the sound signal reproduction system and amplifies the sound signal input from the sound signal reproduction system; a plurality of speakers, each of which is connected with each of the amplifiers and outputs the sound signal amplified by each of the amplifiers; and a control section for controlling the sound signal reproduction system, the amplifiers, and the speakers, respectively, according to sound output modes. |
