    A positive photosensitive composition for infrared laser and the planographic plate with a photosensitive layer made of the said composition are disclosed. The said composition contains alkaline water-soluble high-molecular compound, light-eat converting agent and phenol derivative. The planographic plate is prepared by coating the said composition on a hydrophilic carrier. Its advantages include with developed are, lowered reduction of development performance after storage, and direct plate-making.
