    An electronic cipher lock system for the cover for manhole is composed of a hand-held unlocking unit and manhole cover with electronic cipher lock. The hand-held unlocking unit can provide power supply by inserting pins in holes and input a cipher. When the input chip is matched with the recorded cipher, a motor is actuated to eject open the mechanical lock assembly for exposing a keyhole. A key is manually inserted in it and then turned to open the cover of manhole.
