    A crucible for smelting Mg alloy and its prepn. technology applies double layers metal material, the inner layer is low steel or low alloy steel with Co, the outer layer is stain-less steel of 1Gr18Ni9Ti; the two layers are connected by smelting, so that the inner layer will not pollute Mg alloy liquid at high temp, the intensity at 700 deg.C, and high temp resistance creep deformation performance increase by 20% and 40% separately compared to normal carbon steel; adding small amount of Co to Mg alloy increase its strength and corrosion resistance. The outer stainless steel layer can guarantee the pot will not be oxidized and drop off at high temp.
